Crayford Abbs have posted on their YT channel yesterday: "‼BIG NEWS‼ We have a Dynamic Red, MG ZS EV Trophy Standard range coming into our Dealership for May Registration"

Can only presume it's from the same fountain of SR. If it's your dealer, may be worth giving them a call to see if they've anything else being shipped for this month.

Looks like the ZS EV I wanted from the company SS Scheme is no longer available - bugger. I shall have to wait for the backlog to clear.

I can quite understand the logic of MG to get as many cars out to customers as they possibly can, but the thing that really pi***s me off is the fact that the customers who ordered the top of the range Trophy Connect last year are being s**t on from a great height. I'm sure MG could have been more customer service friendly if they wanted to be. Parts shortage or not !!

There’s absolutely zero consequences if MG completely ignores all the old LR Connect orders. In fact I would argue that they have all the incentives to do so. If you leave the queue you lose the grant.

TBH the best business move for MG is to fulfill the later orders first, since they command higher price and higher profit margin. If the old customers get fed up and cancel, no problem there’s another one in the queue waiting for a car. The cars are still ‘sold out’ so there’s no need to be customer friendly. There’s only so much badmouthing you and I can do.

If we had customer protection laws like in Europe where a delayed delivery means a breach of contract and fines then maybe but we don’t so that’s what we get.

I would wager that old Connect orders will be delayed indefinitely. There’s is absolutely no incentive for MG to make them, until the supply chain problem is completely resolved.

So much for the extra £1500 incentive to order the new MG ZS EV. By the time it comes they'll have taken that off the price of the part ex, which as we all know now is not guaranteed.

No - Not Gallagher's in Chester ( which is located in Sandycroft go figure that ! ).
And they where still an agent for MG last week, at least ???.
The dealer referred to in the e.mail from MG is the dealership on the island of Anglesey.

This who supplied our previous ZS EV Gen 1 model ( LONG story ) in 2020.
I checked the Pentraeth web site today and the MG logo has gone missing from their front page.
Strangely enough, I received an e.mail back from MG themselves, to thank me for bringing it to their attention and that they have amended their records, to include the information I had provided.
Their dealer search completely missed one of the closer MG agents ! ?‍.

Makes sense that they'd planned for a wave of SR . To me though, it feels like they dropped the ball on a proper wave of LR to launch with... minus the demos, I'm not convinced they've supplied that many relative to the order numbers.

I'm interested to see how many LR are on this current shipment/delivery wave.

I agree, but MG have roughly 130 dealerships in the UK now and every single one, was keen to get their hands on at least two cars.
One to display in the show room and one as a dealer demo.
Many of the dealers DID get two cars, some of these where top spec Trophy Connect models, some Trophy and few SE models ( all LR models ).
Fore filling this number of cars, snapped up 260 cars off the boat straight away.
Any spare capacity where jumped on straight away.
Once the dealers had an idea when the second wave of SE's where on there way, they started selling on their Demo LR models.
Which was fine, but the prices of these second hand cars, where more expensive than a brand new car off the ship !.
But of course, there was no follow up cars which then over inflated the prices of the Demo models massively.

I don't know why it takes a podcast to confirm that it's about a 9 month wait. At this point I'm telling myself could be 2023 since mine isn't even built yet. Just have to roll with it ?‍

It’s the lack of information and communication that is frustrating. I ordered a ZS as I didn’t want to wait 9 months for an Enyaq. At least Skoda were honest about the timescales…

I agee. The market as a whole is bad, but they can still do better on certain fronts...unless something drastically improves in their customer communication/service, this'll be my first & last MG.

I think it was Sunshine Ace that docked here recently??I do hope a least a few poor beggars get their Long Range this month.

I received a call from Glyn Hopkin in Milton Keynes. The LR car I ordered on December 4 has been now advised as September noting this been delayed twice already. The guy offered me an SR when I said I was minded to cancel my order so it looks like there are plenty about and MG UK will be trying to shift them.

Although this maybe true, I have to wonder how much REAL effort some of the other lethargic dealers I have spoken too, really try ?.
A few weeks ago, I entered a relatively new local MG dealership with my son.
He he was considering buying a new HS PHEV as the start of his electric journey.
There was a HS PHEV in his chosen colour on display in the showroom.
I could just tell by my son’s face, it was an easy sale !.
About six feet away from the car, was a sales man sat at his desk happily browsing the internet, not a care in the world !.
We walked around the car and my son sat in the drivers seat.
I waited to see how long it would take him to get the salesman off his arse and ask if we needed any help.
After 10 minutes I was ready to leave in a bad mood.
Then my son approach the salesman and politely said:-
“Sorry, if you are busy but can you help me please”.
His responce ( I kid you not ) was this :- “It depends on what you want !!!!! “.
My son’s reply - “Well - I had come in to buy a new car, but not from you” and we left !.
He went to leave his important business on the computer and I stopped him getting up.
Then in a loud voice I said :-
“Don’t bother getting up mate, I can see you are busy doing bugger all, we are going to a dealer who can be bothered to sell us a car”.
So, we should now be over critical of people who want to go the extra mile and some just don’t give a sh*t to be honest !.
I have no time for people like this and vote with my feet !.
I will drive pass 5 dealers until I get somebody who can treat my correctly.
I can get a feel for somebody in five minutes, if I don’t like them then, I move on.
Life and my ability to kept calm with time wasters is way to short anymore.

I had the exact same experience in an MG dealership last year and was just ignored and told I’m too busy. Whilst Sat doing nothing. So I left saying let’s go to another MG and order from them. I’m so glad I did as the service I have had has been great.

That’s where my LR trophy is coming from. I think this is the first ones they have had.

I passed my details for that but still can’t see they were out in sheet. But I hope everyone gets there’s soon. Especially those since last year. Thankfully for me this time next week I will have mine from December order. But I find it very confusing how people get them and how they are shared out.
