Agree the audio is not the best out there. But you can adjust the EQ and enable other audio settings (virtual subwoofer etc) to make it sound decent. With the default settings (EQ flat and other audio settings turned off), it sounds very bad indeed.

PS: I haven't got the car yet (hopefully coming next week!) but few months ago I specifically went for another test drive to test the audio system and played with all the settings until I was satisfied I can somehow get half decent sound out of it

I have tried all the settings and it's just awful lol!! I think I might need to get an Amp and a Sub? Not sure if that will mess with the warranty or not?

I'm having a similar discussions about the car order date with my dealer. I ordered on the 2nd Nov 21 and this is the date on the MG order system (as seen on a screen shot). However, When I asked MG about the order, they are saying that the order date was in March! We are still in discussion......

Edit: Whomever buys it will be 2nd owner (dealer is the 1st). Note the price too...much more than MG's current £35,040 for the same colour/spec.

These cars not being allocated to the wait list when they first arrived is going to cause people to spit feathers. And it's like someone said... more lucrative to sell at a higher price to those willing to pay over the odds, than it is to deliver to someone waiting who got a better price. I can't say I'm enamoured with the MG allocation system or experience so far

Other dealers don't even bother doing that. Blatantly selling new cars above list price when customers have been waiting months for the same model.

Not a cancellation apparently. If you're waiting on a car from them, may be worth popping in.

Too far for me, otherwise I'd go and see firsthand what the situation is.

Honestly if they start delivering long range models to sell at the higher cost while we continue to wait I'll lose my mind.

It's already a gut punch to see short range models arriving on the boat when the focus should be clearing the back log of long ranges first.

Have an appointment to see my dealer on the Isle of Wight to get an update on our order. Order was placed via Motability early January for ZS EV Trophy LR Batt Blue. Reading the comments, do I assume that the car will never come because MG can achieve more money for orders place later after prices increased?
If LR cars are being delivered into the UK without allocated customers it makes a mockery of the feedback given by Miles who explained that dealers were being fined if they change the name on the order to something else when the car is registered. Will let you all know what my dealer says tomorrow.

I wonder if at some point MG will make a slight update to the models and then say that the car I have ordered cannot be made and I will need to re-order a new revised model at a new cost. Am fairly sure that this will not work out well for me as mine is ordered through Motability who will simply tell me that I have to choose a different car as MG ZS are no longer on the list.

From what I could ascertain, this why we're seeing a few of these LR cars on sale:

What actually happens:

• All orders that were not for legitimate customers should have been cancelled as instructed by MG, and dealer now faces a £1.5k fine if they change a name on an order.
• Car delivery turns up & happens to be one of these 'ghost' orders that should've been cancelled but somehow slipped through (speculate away on how it was circumvented ).
• Dealer doesn't want to contact MG and tell them the car does not match to a legitimate customer, because they don't want to risk it going to another dealership & lose money.
• Dealer therefore registers the car to themselves, uses it minimally & then offers it up for sale at a mark-up shortly after.
• Waiting customers aren't technically affected in so much as the build number allocated to them at purchase has not changed.

What should have happened:

• Car delivery turns up & it happens to be one of these 'ghost' orders that should've been cancelled but somehow slipped through.
• Dealer contacts MG to say they received an erroneous vehicle and asks whether they can change the name on it to fulfil an existing customer order, without facing a £1.5k fine.
• MG says no...sends it elsewhere. OR
• MG says yes, and a customer waiting at that dealership finally gets their car.

Basically it's a bit of a dog's breakfast and can come down to the honesty of your dealer, and/or whether you're prepared to better your chances by paying through the nose.

One dealership said they suspect MG is close to hitting their 2022 quota, and there's a chance that some of us waiting may eventually find our deliveries pushed back to 2023.

So I would say to anyone currently considering MG, that if there's another brand you're interested in and you can put down a fully refundable deposit, do so. Hedge your bets like I wish I had. Whilst the delays are industry wide, not every manufacturer is handling their distribution in such a shambolic fashion.

£2k deposit ?. I wouldn't go that far, but I'd risk £500 if it means I may get a car I want, without this dishonesty & poor customer service.

Right now though, I'm absolutely fuming. The exact spec car I ordered is currently being sold on AutoTrader by my dealership, because ultimately they were able to receive a few cars. What they should have done is contact MG, and ask if one of us waiting customers could have had it. Totally taking advantage of customers because of the market. I'm livid.

At the same time, I can understand the dealer trying to make a penny given how little they are getting from MG. Apparently they weren't offered any extra SR like Chorley & Luscomb's ect were, in order that some of us might possibly switch. All of this comes back to the powers that be in MG being an absolute clown show. A saying about a chocolate teapot is coming to mind.
