When was your order placed? I went into Nathanial’s last weekend and they said they had nothing to tell me ?Update, Nathanials must be reading these forums.
Just had a call to state cars ready and picking it up Tuesday. Was quite surprised.
Moral of the story, don't order a car from neanderthals. When was your order placed? I went into Nathanial’s last weekend and they said they had nothing to tell me ?
Same here, order nov 21, From Nathaniels Cardiff, no news at all! When was your order placed? I went into Nathanial’s last weekend and they said they had nothing to tell me ?
I read a lot of posts about delays to ZS deliveries. I have a 5 on order from a lease company, are there similar issues and delays with the MG 5 ???
Thanks
Hi Emma,Can you confirm which dealer it is? There shouldn’t be any stock cars on order that can be reassigned. Unless it’s actually a cancelled customer order and they have permission. MG asked dealers to cancel any stock orders a while back due to the level of demand as I understand.
Contractually, they would need to ask for permission to change the specification. I’m sure miles confirmed on the podcast it would only affect new orders.
I think Vanarama or Greenhous have messed up somehow. I placed my order with Vanarama on November 19 but apparently MG only received the order on January 26Hi. I am in a similar position ( ordered Nov.21, charger install in March). I'll await the response to you from Vanarama with fingers crossed for a positive response. If not I'm off looking at alternatives.
roger that. I don’t mind, so long as I do not pay the £1500 :} i am more concerned re: the sunroof. However many on here have explained, should this happen, i will then have a decision to make I guess. If they sell stock cars which are not in a customers name on the original order the dealer will be fined £1500 per car, or I think they can pre register it which gets around that problem, but then you will be the 2nd owner ?![]()
l got the same response from MG. So queried Greenhous and they sent me a screen shot of my order placed in Nov on the system. So I think it's MG that are not being honest. I emailed MG last week for an explanation and await a reply.I think Vanarama or Greenhous have messed up somehow. December 21, around the 20thCongrats. When did you order?
December 21. My original delivery date was for March. When was your order placed? I went into Nathanial’s last weekend and they said they had nothing to tell me ?
We were told in the MGEVS podcast earlier this year that in March all dealers were instructed to have customers names by vehicles or cancel the order. There was to be no stock orders post March and any dealer found changing names after this date would be fined £1500.Hi Emma,
Was informed that I could not order a short range , at the moment, but they had ordered some Lonf Range ZS cars from Nov through to Feb (21/22), and i could choose one oF them. Not sure when the embargo was placed upon dealers from ordering cars into stock, guess they could have been for demonstrators etc. in any case, they had four on order (all Trophy LR) in various coLours. Still no word of any of them hitting the production line yet.
Did any of the deals actually have the stock? We were told in the MGEVS podcast earlier this year that in March all dealers were instructed to have customers names by vehicles or cancel the order. There was to be no stock orders post March and any dealer found changing names after this date would be fined £1500.
Understand that the rules for demonstrators are that the garage have to register the cars for a few months before being able to sell.
If people are buying using finance, how does this affect if you are in effect buying a second hand car (second person on the log book) MG contribute £1500 towards the car if using their finance I think?
How are the garages managing to reallocate cars to other people?
I have been offered 3 deals for a brand new unregistered LR Trophy. Is MG really implementing the fine?

I have also contacted MG about my order same vehicle spec as you have ordered apart from colour, mine is monument silver.Received the following update from MGUK over the weekend on my order for my Long Range Trophy Connect (White) placed on Dec 5th 2021.
Hi Nigel,
Thank you for your patience.
Regarding your vehicle order, we can confirm it is still on shortage awaiting factory build and unfortunately we cannot confirm an exact arrival date until production commences.
There is currently a longer waiting time, which could take 8-9 months from the order date. Your order was placed on 7th December 2021 as is shown on our system, we believe the production for your vehicle shall start soon.
We would recommend you to follow this up again with your purchasing dealer in 1-2 months and you shall be able to hear some updates in due course.
For any new enquiry to MG, please kindly submit your query via our contact form, as this mailbox is not always monitored.
Thanks again for taking your time contacting MG Motor, we hope the above information helps.
Kind Regards,
MG Call Centre Team
