Just registered. Had 30 weeks timeline given to me today, will place a £100 deposit tomorrow and see what happens. I was really impressed with the test drive. Now the problem of when to sell my Santa Fe...

We're in no rush. I bought the Santa Fe to pull our caravan and then sold it a year later! Wife currently drive an astra diesel which has been great but six years old now and could do with a rest. No problems, the dealer is applying a lifetime shine to the body work, I have it on my current ZS EV, it’s brilliant, even repels seagull poo. So a bit of salivation should not be an issue.

If you don’t mind me asking, how much was the shine whatever they call it? What does it do, (don’t say shine the car, I got that bit) like do you need to wash the car?

Hi,
The Life Shine is a Auto Glym product, apparently it takes a day to apply by the dealer.
My current ZS which is now 2 years old has the shine and when I wash the car probably every 4-6 weeks using the shampoo suppled, rinse the car and dry with the micro fibre cloths the car looks as good as new.
My car lives outside and in a harsh environment as I live close to the sea and the car gets battered with sea salt, sand and seagull mess, but still looks good.
The cost is now £395 previously it was £345.
For your money you get a pack containing, shampoo, wheel cleaner, tyre dressing, vinyl and rubber cleaner, interior shampoo, leather care balm and screen cleaner, plus sponges, micro fibre cloths and rags.
Your next question is probably how long does it last? Well, my car is 2 years old and looks like new, on that basis IMO it should be ok for another 2-3 years? On that basis the cost is less than £80/year. IMO not a lot of money to keep a £30k car looking it’s best.

The full kits are about £50 retail. They'd have to have specialist in house detailers to justify that cost.

Had a call from JustEV's to say my car was with them and can be delivered next week.
There was a question about the trade in price. The mileage limit was 20,000 for the quote and it's now at 27,000, so I think they were going to try and knock the price down. However, WBAC and Motorway are now offering £1,000 more than they did 3 months ago, so I put that to them.
The sales person, Andy, got back to me after having had a chat to his bosses and said if I sold privately, they would have to cancel the original agreement and negotiate a new one which reflected the price increases of the ZS and loss of government grant. However, they would honour the original agreement and trade in price, which I thought was reasonable from a business point of view.
Car is being delivered Tuesday 20th.
