Our dealer has said their system is back up now so we are on for a March collection on a 23 plate.

I think so. There's been a recent batch of blue MG4 arrivals too.

I feel the same, called the dealer today and they said it could be another 6 months, I ordered 16 Feb 22 and I've started to believe that I'll get my ZS?

Really???? I mean it's good that they're trying to manage expectation, but that seems far off!

Mine never had a TBA status, whatever that is. As far as I know it went from 'shortage' straight to an arrival date - don't lose hope... I say that even though I've not got the keys yet - 2-3 weeks time ?

The person I spoke to said the system is still down and he can't check anything??

Whatever happens now the shine has gone off the car, if the BYD becomes available before the ZS comes then I will definitely tell them where they can stick it.

I ordered SR Trophy in black in March 22 with delivery date of 30 Sep 22, I was still wating Dec 22 so the dealer put an MG4 on order too with delivery of 4-5 Months, and I could have which ever came first...I checked today with dealer if there are any updates... the dealer showed me the new ordering software they have got and my MG4 showed as Shortage, however someone who ordered one in Jan23 showed as On the sea..meaning it's been shipped already This was the last straw for me after waiting nearly a year , I cancelled both orders, I didn't even bother asking about my ZS Trophy, so I went to nearest garage and enquired about a Mokka E...I'm picking it up next week. MG are a total shambles.

Sorry to hear, it's been disgraceful. The Mokka E looks v nice! It was a car I was looking at back in April last year when I ordered... There were other cars worth considering at the time too and at much nicer prices. MG have f*cked us all with their sh*te operations.

Mine had an arrival date for next week and has now gone back to in shortage.

I have to wait as I got a home charger installed last April and I would have to pay for it if I cancelled. I really don't blame you, enjoy your EV.

I ordered a ZS SR Trophy in March 22 and received it in June, so not too bad!
My son however ordered a Mokka E in February 22 and is still waiting, so we'll done for getting yours so quickly!

After over a year of lurking I have finally created an account to share my frustration with the sorry mess that is the MG ordering system.

Back in 2019 I was one of the first 500 people to put a deposit down on the Mk1 ZS EV; unfortunately timings didn't work out an I ended up with a 3 year lease on an VW eGolf instead.

Having used the eGolf to test if we could operate as a 1 vehicle household if that vehicle was an EV (we needed more range than the eGolf could give us), the news of the ZS EV Mk2 LR was really exciting. We visited our local dealer the day that the order books opened (beginning of November 2021), arranged a test drive and a couple of days later finalised our order for a Blue LRTC, delivery expected before the end of March 2022.

We traded in our ICE car as part of the ordering process back in November 2021; we had the eGolf on lease until September 2022, and a few months with limited range wasn't going to be so bad; we could make it work.

By the time the eGolf was due to go back to the leasing company there was still no sign of our LRTC, but it should only be a few more weeks now; so we extended the lease for another three months...

By the end of November, still no sign of the LRTC and no way to extend the lease on the eGolf again; we financed a five year old Range Rover Evoque for £300 / month (the LRTC finance had worked out at £360 / month with a £2K deposit way back in November 2021). The extra £60 would pay for the extra fuel and tax costs for as long as we had it.

Now it's almost March 2023; nearly 16 months since we put our deposit down and signed the order papers, and we have had only one update in that time regarding our LRTC's delivery status (it was going to be delayed in March 2022) that we haven't actively sought out ourselves.

The only reason I haven't cancelled our order entirely is that our order is still eligible for the EV car grant (but only for another two months) if it ever turns up; and that would potentially allow us to sell it on and make a modest profit that would go some way to mitigate the hassle the last 16 months of waiting has caused.

I don't think I will ever buy (or attempt to buy) another MG; I really appreciate their cost / value but there is no excuse for the shambles of their ordering system & communications with their dealer network.

Now that my wife has fallen in love with her Evoque I am looking for a cheap second hand EV or PHEV with limited EV only range to do the bulk of our local journeys; a Leaf would be ideal if not for that fact that I have a Type 2 charger installed at home.

Well, I feel better for getting that all off my chest.

Now that my wife has fallen in love with her Evoque I am looking for a cheap second hand EV or PHEV with limited EV only range to do the bulk of our local journeys; a Leaf would be ideal if not for that fact that I have a Type 2 charger installed at home.

We currently have a Leaf (till next Friday) Having a Type 2 is not an issue, it's what we have. The Leaf came with a Type 2 to Type 1 cable which we found a bit short, so bought a Type 2 to Type 1 adapter to go on the end of our 7m Type 2 lead.

Had the phone call from our dealership the car is at the dock not bad 14 months will be with them on the 13th of march lr Trophy in Battersea blue with a bit of luck should have it by end of march

Our SE LR ordered Feb 2022 is apparently now in the country and should be ready for mid-March!
