Vanarama called me yesterday to say all was on track for April delivery. I ordered on December 6th. Have you ordered the trophy connect?

Had same call from them today, looking like September but could be early as July they are not sure. All to do with build slots apparently

Oh dear. Thats quite a delay. I think the Vanarama Ts & Cs will allow you to cancel if the delay is that long.

Its bugging me that this was overlooked by whoever set this thread up originally! ?

Yeah you can cancel before taking delivery without penalty

Only issue is you’ll be liable for home charger if installed as part of the deal

Just called vanarama bad news. They said all orders though them have been delayed till Sept due to a recall. So another long wait!!

Which model did you order, I have ordered a white zs ev se and not had a call yet.

If the deal appears to good, it probably is !.
Anybody can advertise their cars cheaper than the next guy, getting them is where the real trick lies !.
If you where a MG dealer with your own customers waiting for cars, when some cars DO arrive, are you going to allocate them to your OWN customers, or are you going to let them go to a third party agent ?????.
There you go then !.
I can genuinely see dealers giving priority to it’s own personal customers myself and pushing back on third party orders.

I placed the order in November, so not exactly speedy service. I've already had the charger installed so I'm stuck.

Hi all, again today spotted a truck load MGs on M4 westbound from Bristol. I couldn't get a photo as I was driving in the fast lane. Seems like ship must be docked recently at the port.

Westbound from Bristol is towards Cardiff??

I made the call and they have advised September.
I've not seen a statement from Mg to say why all evs are being delayed as they have released it in other countries so you would think they are on schedule..

Hi, I spoke to Nathaniel's yesterday.
Each model has delays it seems.
There is no guarantee that ANY car ordered will turn up in the alloted time scale!
You MIGHT be lucky and your red Trophy will arrive, but don't count on it!
The latest shortage is the Infotainment screen. You can't ship a car without one of those!
There are apparently tens of thousands of cars in car parks in and around the factory waiting for bits to be fitted!
Quite why the infotainment screen is different on a petrol car as opposed to an EV no-one seems to know.
Because it is China, information which could harm the reputation of the company and included in that China, is kept secret! MG UK can't get answers it seems.
There is no way for a dealer to know where your car is on the production line, unlike some manufacturers.
with Jaguar Land Rover you can almost watch it travel down the line!

The truth is until it is on the ship, then and only then ,can you count the days until it turns up in Portbury, and that journey is one month plus depending on how many stops it has to make on route! And when it arrives there is a shortage of drivers to get them off the ship! Then there is the shortage of HGV drivers to get them to the dealers!
Best case scenario is if your car is loaded onto a ship TODAY and there is a chance it MIGHT arrive mid April earliest, realistically the beginning of May. Sorry to be so downbeat but at least it still will be the price you were quoted!

A bit slow in replying - Richmond Portsmouth - I have spotted on facebook that a few folk from there were called over the past few days. Checked in with the dealer and it is on a ship apparently (so not at the docks yet). I am guessing it will be docking in the next couple of weeks. Although given the state of things, I think it is all a bit of a lottery, so will only truly believe it when I am driving it home from the dealership. As you can tell from my tone - I am trying to temper my enthusiasm!
