Hi, I picked up my ZS hybrid yesterday and I am still learning how all the tech works. I would like to know if the 'Hello MG' prompt works with the hybrid. I have successfully used the voice command button to initiate a call but that's about all. Thank you.

Sorry, I've got no idea I just drive the thing. My wife's into the techy stuff I'll ask her to give it a go next time we go out in it together👍

Thank you. Some of the EV models accept commands such as “Set temperature to [ XX ] degrees” which I think is useful when CarPlay is being used.

I saw this somewhere here.

Unfortunately, as with some cars, as soon as CarPlay is connected, the voice command button is only operating Siri, and can't operate whatever it can without CarPlay (which I came across elsewhere is very limited anyways in the ZS). I always find it kind of useless to map voice command buttons to Siri given you can activate Siri with saying so or over the CarPlay start screen anyway.

Mine also doesn’t work unless the app connect is active, so I agree with you.

The more I read on this forum, the more I’m convinced that the lack of information, i.e. the lack of a useable manual, convinces me this was prematurely launched.
Absolutely, take page 214 for example, a reviewer’s recommendation (highlighted) wasn’t removed before the manual was released.

It’s slap dash. In your example. Button 1, it tells you what it is, but omits to inform how you use it. Surely the purpose of a manual is to do this.

Look at manual page 211 MOGI = Many Owners Get Infuriated ??
Page 135/6 charging 12V battery = rubbish.
Page 76. Easy when you know what Automatic means, but the purpose of a manual is to tell you what it controls.
Page 185 “certain depth” must mean what, you choose?
And believe me, the manual has many more serious faux pas/ omissions.

Oh absolutely. The funny thing is, that when first press releases appeared in August, most outlets mentioned a launch in early 2025; Even on some MG Web sites (like Austria, where I live) initially 2025 was mentioned, and then, rather out of nowhere, the car was launched in October.

My dealer didn't even know prices, yet could order the car and had received a bunch ready for sale mid October. Pretty much the opposite of the typical delayed launch/market release nowadays.

Hi Mick.
I agree with all you say.

There is a gentleman in New Zealand who has released a number of videos on YouTube, relating to MG cars. They are listed under Jerry Pan Cars. His video on the MG3, has a lot of info relating to the ZS Hybrid+. Including that the MG3 has a Graphic Equaliser, while the top of the range hybrid doesn’t?!
I’ve asked him very nicely if he would do an instructional video on the ZS Hybrid+, he’s already done one on driving it.
It’s very worrying, that MG UK are having to rely on a guy in New Zealand to sort out their incompetence.
I’ve also written to the Managing Director of MG UK, expressing my concerns, that we pay our money and then get fobbed off with a car that doesn’t work properly.
Surprisingly my dealership agrees, saying it makes them look amateurish when they can’t answer questions, or offer any advice.

All agreed.

In case of the equalizer, I'm 99,9 % sure that was just forgotten, maybe in the process of translating software, and hopefully will be added with a software update later. After all, the system is mostly identical to the MG3 H+. It would even be more interesting, whether the proper base model only of the ZS Hybrid on the continent with 16" steelies , that uses the 10,25" screen form the MG3, maybe does also have an equalizer.
