MG3 Hybrid+ Trophy
Hi all just thought I would share with you my experience on insurance renewal.
I purchased my MG3 hybrid + in early September and my current insurer LV
having made adjustment charged pro rata To £574 per annum until renewal due in early January.
When I received renewal quote of £553 earlier this week I of course I ran this thru compare the market website and was pleasantly
surprised to be offered a quote of £351 from AA insurance -- Happy Days

I had been with LV for years then last May they wanted a ridiculous figure to renew my Corolla hybrid insurance. I rang to get the price down, but they wouldn't budge, so I went to Aviva.
On the Toyota forum other hybrid drivers reported the same. I got the impression that LV don't want vehicles with any sort of battery / electrification.

Ditto AA was by far the best, didn't need a reg number either.

Sorry not understanding.
If AA did not ask for the Reg. number what number is on your Certificate of cover?
I don't recall we bought the car in July, we informed them of the reg number once we had it.

I expect the VIN was enough.

Thanks Topbloke.I will try them. All depends on your post code.Where I live in London will be more.

Interesting, back in May last year I came across insurers not prepared to insure me, the first I found wanted £2,400, finished up around £600 as the cheapest at the time. From the above its looking better this year, it would appear they are getting some stats together and getting more realistic.
Encouraging...
