This transmission offers a wide range of operating modes :
1.Electric propulsion: the system can of course operate in full electric mode, but at a maximum speed of 60 km/h (the small battery and the gear ratio to which the motor is connected do not allow more)
2.Generator mode (series hybrid): when the 100% electric mode finally drains the battery, which happens very quickly, the internal combustion engine can then start to drive the small electric generator (the second small electric motor built into the gearbox). The battery therefore drives the electric traction motor and the combustion engine recharges the battery at the same time as driving the second electric motor, which produces electricity for the battery.
3.Combined mode (parallel hybrid): here the combustion engine will not turn the electric generator, but it will be connected to the drive train (transmission). The electric traction motor and the combustion engine will apply torque to the gearbox shafts. The two motors therefore propel the car
4. Internal combustion mode: this mode is designed for high speeds or when the battery is insufficient, the internal combustion engine can be the only one to send torque to the gearbox, and therefore to the wheels. The engine can operate in three gears
Here's a more detailed look, bearing in mind that some details are missing due to the cruel lack of information on this transmission, so I had to rely on the few computer-generated images presented by the brand.
EV1 is the generator and EV2 the electric traction motor
