MG3 Hybrid+ Trophy
IT seems to come and go on ours, Does anyone else get that, it's a bit of a worry as the brakes are also controlled by the software like the steering.
 
Like all current cars, the MG3 is heavily electronically controlled.
This is nothing new, and in certain circumstances it's even reassuring.

Not when we are going downhill and the car isn't stopping, so you have to press harder.

A petrol cars brakes are normally assisted by vacuum from the exhaust manifold, what replaces that when it is running in EV?

There is an electrically driven vacuum pump with a small reservoir for "storing the vacuum". That way the vacuum assist is instantly available, and the pump only has to run occasionally.
 
Hi Clive. Re brakes. Do you know if the brake lights come on when slowing with regen?
I think we established that they didn't come on, previous discussions here mate >
