Hi friends,
First time user, be gentle! New MG 4, happy with it as I am a pensioner and I can charge it from solar. Even with overcast skies I can get 1.4kW and that supplies the charger.
Dealer wanted me to come in for the first free service ASAP, but as the suggested 1,500km have not been achieved yet, I am waiting until then with a collection of possible problems:
1 Radio dead, hope it is a single temp issue and will go away,
2 LKA: Seems to work between two white lines OK, but is not too good if the LH side is a grey stone and footpath,
3 LKA is a pest as it has to be switched OFF every time. Wouldn't it be a great idea to be able to set up personal profiles or at least one profile, which sticks?
4 Another user also reported restarting problems after parking and needing to drive off again. Switching back to D or R and getting out of P worked eventually,
5 No front sensors in the MG4 51 as the cheapest model, I suppose the dearer ones have it,
6 Reads speed signs but then loses the number despite driving in a straight line - I know it is just trying to assist,
7 The MG iSmart app may have problems with remotely stopping the charging, had to try twice before it worked.
