I've just put a new a/c condenser in my MG4 and went to get it gassed. Under the bonnet/hood the sticker states R134a, I've checked the a/c connections (they are R134a) and the AU User Manual also states R134a. However, by local mechanic is saying that he believes as it's an EV and uses a high voltage compress motor that it needs to by R134a with POE oil. Not PAG oil which is what everyone I've contacted are using.

Is anyone able to confirm that the AU MG4 is using R134a and POE?

If so, know anyone is Brisbane that can service my MG4 a/c with R134a and POE?

Also, no reply from the MG dealer network.

Just an update that may help someone. I can confirm, my MG4 2023 Australian model has an A/C system using R134a refrigerant with POE oil. This a requirement of the high voltage Sanden Huayu compressor.

If you are in Brisbane then I can recommend https://www.echelonautomotive.com.au They can re-gas your EV/Hybrid with R134a or R1234yf using POE oil.
