Trunk/tailgate miss alignment - it’s 1/2 cm lower on left which is causing a rubbing and a bit of a clunk and rattle on closing. I asked them not to make a mess of the nice painted bolts. But was met with a glare.
I also have the tailgate misalignment issue and I'm having to chase the dealer to try and get them to do anything about it. Mine is lower on the driver's side.

Mmmm, looks like your MG dealer should try your forum name. ?
Am I the only person in Australia with a Faraday pouch?

It came to handing over the key fob, which was attached to a rather pro looking Faraday pouch. The desk op said ‘What’s that?’ ‘It’s a Faraday pouch, it helps prevent car crime.’ …… ‘Oh, can we take it off?’ ‘Mmmm no, I’d rather you didn’t.’
When I returned to pick up my car, I could see my ‘fob’ hanging on it’s hook on the big white board behind reception. When I got to the car, sitting on the forecourt (at the closest point to the exit, furthest from the building) ….. it was open!!! Which reminds of a car theft story from the late 90’s from a dealership in SE London. Which I shall save for another occasion. ;)

The MG4 is capable of OTA updates but so far MG have not initiated this. Your dealer needs a good kick in the backside. The MG4 has been in Australia since last August. This is more than enough time for them to become familiar with the car they sell and should therefore be able to service. Technology is moving quickly so dealers and vehicle service organisations need to keep up. Leaving vehicles unlocked on a lot with the keys in the ignition or under the floor mat is just unprofessional and asking for trouble..

I put Apple Carplay problems down to ios not being open source as it only works with Apple products and cannot be modified by a user. Android Auto has always worked for me from day 1 and is open source. It is used and modified for their own use by all the Chinese manufacturers of phone, tablets etc.

I have an iPhone SE supplied by SES & my own personal LG mobile phone, new in 2017. My LG is far more capable than the year old iPhone though that is not a flagship model & I have never had interfacing issues even though it runs Android 9 & the latest version is 14.

I also have a faraday pouch and faraday box that I drop my keys into at night plus my phone such quiet Temu cheap and works I did the test on my vehicle.

One week old and now Ceramic Coated by Tim, owner of 'Ultra Shield' at Coolum Beach, Sunshine Coast. So glad I didn't go with pressure seller from the dealership, who was into me 15 minutes after paying for the car!

Wow what a shine. Just need to tool up with loads of cleaning products and I can go and hang out over at the 'Detailing thread'.

Main problem is going to be finding cloudy days to do the washing part of the process ?. I'll try not to use captured rainwater from my roof. Good for flushing loos but not for washing cars.

So first time I’ve ever washed a car following a quality ceramic coating. Repelled water pretty well. So this is what ducks ? are made of ?

Looks good, but to be fair, I can get that effect with a 3 quid Simoniz wax, from Tesco. Personally think Ceramic Coating is overrated, but each to their own. ??

I suppose it depends on how long the 'ceramic' coating lasts, if it lasts, say for at least 12 months or more with only basic washing then maybe it's worthwhile.

Turtle Wax 53409 is the way to go. Dead easy to apply and comfortably lasts 6 months even with regular washing.
I use it on all my cars/bikes. No affiliation, just a fan.

I'm guessing it's referring to the key fobs? That or somewhere within the system is a button battery to remember settings (like for a PC).
yes of course the fob! I’m still having ‘phantom reaches’ for keys when I park up ?. I even look through the steering wheel expecting them to be there. ‘Dr, when will it stop?

Believe it or not, one of the most dangerous things about living in QLD is not the snakes. It’s the fact that you don’t need an MOT/Road worthy unless you plan to sell the car. There are likely thousands of cars driving around that haven’t had a brake test in years ?
This seems a very long time to go between checks. I think I might be cutting that in half, visiting my local ’Brakey’

With the regen braking and one pedal driving, I think brake wear is much less than ICE cars.
