MG4 Radar issues

I have been waiting to collect my MG4 Trophy for 2 weeks and just received a call from the dealer saying there's an up date to be done on the cars Radar but the can't get their computer to talk to the car and don't know when they can fix it , as anyone else had this issue , I feel like cancelling the order and going back to Kia EV's I was supposed to pick it up tomorrow (22 Nov) already had in place the new insurance so now had to change it back.
 
It's the gift that keeps on giving?
 
I must really love MG4. I'm usually so decisive when it comes to things like this to cut the damn string.

If I'm honest, I don't totally understand it.
 
I agree but it is just one thing after another, isolated incident or not, MG UK and the dealers are so disjointed it's scary.
I really want the car but I can't afford to be running backwards and forwards to the dealer all the time or it sitting for days/weeks of the road. All the while paying for it but not using it, waiting for the next electronic hiccup to happen, and sitting on here chatting about some miracle software update, round the owner, that cures all ills.
They need to get their finger out sharpish or this car will be making the motoring headlines again, this time for all the wrong reasons.
I am hoping the next week or so does bring the miracle cure to all the software issues if not ill cancel my order and buy something I can actually drive and use without stressing about what is going to go on the blink next. The fact that dealers and MG have for the most part played it all down and don't know any fixes is just actually embarrassing.

Agreed. They have made considerable progress in the last 2 to 3 years and this cat was the one to crown all their hardworking efforts.

I said somewhere else I hope they haven't rushed it to market and KO'd themselves.

People genuinely like the car, even the haters. All they have to say about it is its Chinese. Which is very ignorant as in consumerism Europe, UK and America every home has several made in China goods. From the clothes to shoes to electronic equipment, kitchen appliances, even phone cases.

The only thing that will stop it from hitting the strides it should, is the issue(s) and even with all the issues people are willing to give them a chance.
