MG4 Undertray dip/bulge

Having spoken to the dealer following my email from MG Motors UK above, they've acknowledged they need to fit it now... Problem is the original one is on backstock with no expected due date and then there is a revised one listed that the system won't let them order ??

The revised part has a different manufacturing process from what I have learnt from the OEM, first couple of batches have headed to Europe though...

Maybe the revised one is ribbed, which would make it more rigid.

No obvious visible difference, it's down to the tooling the manufacturer use.

Plastic undertray is always a fast moving part used for accident repair despite the dip/bulge issue we're seeing.

My car is booked in this Wednesday to be for with its missing parts oil leak to be sorted and intermittent auto hold fault to be looked at too

Too sensitive to share and comment on. Anyway, the part itself is dead cheap, and the fix to the issue from factory's point of view is quite simple, at this stage I'd say it is the supply chain delaying us from getting the revised part.

I imagine that a few people on here have driven there MG4 through a few deep puddles in the last few days. Is anyone concerned that the undertray bulge will act like an ice cream scoop and gather water where it probably shouldn't be?
