I always thought the Nissan GTR was the best road car you could get for a drag race

That was Matt Watson's (car wow) test the gtr had a poor start on the first one then won the other races, including the longer distances.
MG won the brake test.

The GTR was the quicker car, especially as the speeds became illegal

Found the brakes to be pretty damn good on my test drive.
Was surprised at that.

Yes, the MG only has a 126mph top speed and is geared for good acceleration and normal road speeds.

The braking test was impressive.

GTR was always the car I wanted but never had, ship has sailed now though

It’s a testament to the potential of electric motors and drivetrains.
The MG only needs better suspension, brake callipers and wheel/tyre combo to be an accomplished track machine.
A 2-speed gearbox would be an excellent addition. One only wonders what mods will be possible in 5-10 years time.
