Hi,
Thought I’d share with MG5 owners wishing to have a double dog crate installed. I had a friend who donated their spare Trans K9 double crate to me, to see whether it will work in the MG5. Perfect size for my two crazy cocker spaniels.
After removing the rear seats - cushion and backs (but without totally taking them out), the crate fitted into the boot length ways, then rotated to go into place. Once in, the seat backs can be put back in (see top photo). Then I had some spare foam tiles to build up a platform, so the doors can open above the boot lip. It fits perfect thereafter. I can still access the boot floor, the granny charger, and the cubby in the boot for dog leads etc.
