Cost do second service, including brake fluid change and AA cover - £190 including VAT at Gillanders.
Sat in the new MG5 - looks more relevant, same driving position, better interior and materials (just). There’s rear interior lights now. The problem for me is the annoying touch screen controls for essentials like heated seats and temperature!!! Nice and smooth screen graphics, but I don’t think I will get on with the touchscreen controls.
For me, not worth the upgrade for £10k extra compared to what I paid in 2021 with Gov EV grant.
MG4 - bigger, wider and lower car than I thought. Plenty of space inside for front passengers, though in my driving position rear legroom is not ideal. The boot is big, but narrower than MG5, so won’t fit my double dog crate. The dash is very minimalistic and quality is fairly acceptable. I didn’t realise I wouldn’t like any dash without needles and dials until today. The cabin was very dark as it was all lined in black for the sporty look. Interesting to see the price of the high powered version and what they will make it stand out more as the halo model.
I can’t believe so many new cars are using touchscreen controls. It’s far too distracting!
