Hi
Should the milage I get be automatically updated after every journey on the Accumulated Total display screen? Mine hasn’t moved from 42.2 for weeks now despite having driven almost every day and for different lengths of journey. Thanks

Mine changes.

The longer it runs the less it will change.

I think so, but my accumulated total screen doesnt update my mpg….very annoying and confusing

The way to get as daily reading is to zero the Total one in a morning.

Do you mean zero the accumulated mikage?

Yes accumulated then that is total for day. Means of course the total for a period of time not obtained.

Strange, mine doesn’t behave like that. The “from start” screen accumulates over every journey of the day and the next morning it’s reset itself. I could reset it each journey if I wanted but I think I prefer it the way it is.

It shouldn't really be annoying or confusing — it's just plain math. If your accumulated average over, say, 1500 miles is 42.2 mpg, and you want to raise it to 44 mpg, you'd need to drive over 500 miles at 50 mpg to make that happen. Once you've driven a long distance, any change to the average takes a lot more effort — that's just how averages work

It actually does update constantly. But that’s exactly what I was trying to point out — if you’ve driven a lot without resetting the data, and those miles are already factored into the average MPG, then you’ll need to drive a significant number of miles with either very low or very high MPG to make any noticeable change to the average. What’s the mileage showing on your accumulated total screen?

Exactly, the ‘accumulated’ figure shows the average consumption over the ‘accumulated’ distance, since the last reset, (long press.)
The ‘from start’ shows the consumption, from the start of that day, and rests every day.
If your daily drive results in say about 42mpg the ‘accumulated’ will show 42 mpg. As the days go by this figure becomes more difficult to alter, as diwat has already explained.

I would add that the "from start" has an approx. 1 hour cooldown, so if you stop and go to the gym or a longer shopping trip to the mall, you'll still start at 0. The other as said correctly, waits for a manual reset;
