I posted a while ago about using Google Voice commands on Android Auto (Hey Google, navigate to my nearest charging point) and whilst experimenting today I found that Google seems to now take more complex instructions, which solves a problem I've had finding chargers on my route whilst driving.

If you are using Google to navigate (Hey Google navigate to Glasgow), you can also now say "Hey Google are there any CCS chargers on my route". It will find CCS chargers on your navigation route and ask if you want them added to your journey as a stop.

Hope this helps ?

Definitely a step up from google constantly just giving me the "here's an article on wikipedia I found about CCS chargers...." which seems to be it's standard response to any question I ask Google at the moment.

Looks like Android Auto has had an update

Today whilst using voice navigation to get to my nearest EV charge point, I noticed that Android auto showed both the available and in use charge points at a location which can help to avoid queuing at a charge location

What I asked for was "Navigate to my nearest CCS chargepoint"

I tend to use Waze for in car navigation. It's always bang up to date. Live traffic updates for almost everything, shows GPS speed, speed camera awareness including mobile cameras, traffic light camera awareness, traffic conditions, weather etc. It automatically runs on Android Auto after installation. Gives good voice control of all the usual things in your car. It is also configurable for EV's to show where charging points are, what brand the chargers are, what connection types are available etc etc. And of course it will navigate you straight there.
As a keen motorcyclist I also use it for my motorcycle navigation. Yes, it's configurable for motorcycles too! So it tells me what bus lanes I can use etc. Saves me loads of time & miles. Best bit is Waze is free.
