Question,
I’m driving up to Scotland soon, does the cars Navigation route charging stops along the way ?
I’m aware of ABRP and linking it up with an OBD dongle to get live data, however just wondering if the car does this ?
Thanks
I’ve played with the Nav settings and I can’t find anyway for the car to route charging stops
Hi Pecker,
There was occasion when I dropped below 20% and I was being informed by her 'ladyship' to "charge soon", the sat nav, which was I was using, actually showed me where the nearest charge stations were. I wasn't far from home so ignored it, but it was interesting that it did so.
Also if you use the ismart app and search 'charge stations', it will bring up all the charge points near to your location. The 'EV Station' button doesn't work on my app as it keeps telling me the nearest is Muang Hak1, 5870.6 miles away in Thailand?
I agree with Rolfe, 'ChargeplaceScotland' app is really good and if you have problems, the helpline is very responsive and can more often than not, sort your problem out. Quite often the problems are 'host' related, by that I mean local councils, and is beyond CPS remit though they will report to the 'host' council of particular problems. Recently I noticed that the rapid charger in the car park at Moffat was showing red, I phoned CPS and they contacted Dumfries & Galloway council who got it fixed.
One holiday in Kinloch Rannoch, I forgot my CPS card after switching EV's. I phoned CPS and gave them my name, I couldn't remember the card number?, but they were able to switch the charger on remotely in KR for me. Can't fault them.
Enjoy your stay up here.? Your doing the right thing by planning ahead?
