Well got my Trophy Long Range today and must say am extremely pleased with first impressions. Have added pic of software version and have to say no issues with lane keep assist on way home and adaptive cruise worked great. Also of note I was able to use one pedal mode with battery at 98% so not sure if that's a new change. The dealer said the infotainment screen screen looked new to him so maybe got the latest update. Was expecting to feel this car would be a downgrade from my 2023 4 series but have to say it has many extras the bm doesnt have and is just as engaging to drive. Also delighted my bp chargemaster wallbox works perfectly with the in car charge scheduling, had feared id have issues! Only feature I'm shocked its missing is auto wipers, doesnt make semse why it has everything else but these. I'll get some better pics tomo, plan on wrapping the roof black and also adding black badges.

Lovely!

I'm interested that your LKA was OK. I always switch mine off, but earlier this week I got out of the car while in a hand car wash to fetch the money, and forgot to switch it off again when I set off. I'd gone some way without noticing anything but suddenly it kicked in on a road where cutting a corner is the rational way to drive if there's nothing coming. My immediate reaction was OMG what's wrong, has the steering gone, is the car breaking down, maybe I've got a puncture!

Then I realised, breathed a sigh of relief, and switched the infernal thing off again. But I would not call that benign.

Yeah certainly not experiencing anything like this, if anything I'd say it's less annoying/dangerous than my bmw was or my wives audi is.

Charged perfectly using the in car scheduling and my old bp wall box. Full advantage of the 8p/kWh and bang on predicted range, it's 13c here this morning so very happy with that.

Enjoy it, and enjoy it more. It is never irritating to drive unless you let it become that way. Any irritations are easily worked around if you plan.

When I got mine I decided that there were certain things that wouldn't be fixed (having to turn off LKA and re-select driving modes all the time) and it was my choice what to do about this. I could bitch and grumble and get bent out of shape about it, or I could just do it without getting annoyed about it. I find that choosing the latter has vastly improved my enjoyment of the car.

Most of the other things I bitched about when I first got it have subsequently been fixed by software updates. In fact I think there's only one bug that's still annoying me. I love the car to bits.

Totally agree, when you weigh up the pros vs the few software cons this is still an incredible car with unbeatable value. I enjoy driving it more than my previous ice bmw, merc and audi. It's engaging to drive and I enjoy switching driving modes including one pedal mode for zipping around town. I'm now considering getting another for the wife to replace her audi although I will likely hold off until they release more info on the new face-lift.
