New Hybrid +

Excellent, I didn't realize anybody was printing them yet. (y)
From what I can make out, all they are doing is printing out the handbook from the online manual in either A5 or A4 format, plastic comb bound and plastic front and rear cover. £16-99 from Ebay.
When I picked up my new ZS SE+ last week, I was a bit miffed that there was no handbook ( and No, I don`t want to have to go online every time I want to check something out. Besides, I might be somewhere where there is no signal). Any way, the salesman very kindly printed out all 359 pages for me in A4. Just got to get a binder now!
The other thing that peeved me a bit was the facility for putting a space saver wheel in. There isn`t one anymore. Well, there is, but it`s taken up by the battery now. I traded my ZS in (surprisingly good trade in value) and had a space saver in that. I was hoping to put it into the new car. Now, I know all about cost and weight savings blah, blah, blah, but as the car has still got the spare wheel space, I`m pretty sure MG could have found a better place to position the battery. And I know there is the tyre repair kit, but once used, I am led to believe that the tyre cannot then be repaired if it is just a simple puncture. Or am I wrong there? Any advice gratefully received.
Apart from those two things, which in the great scheme of things, aren`t the end of the whole, I am really quite enjoying the car. Far too much tech and warning noises on it for a man of my advancing years, but I am gradually getting to grips with things. I will probably turn most of the assistance off in due course.

I would feel happier with a spare normal wheel or a space saver and I concluded no place for it in the boot.
If I see a saver on Ebay I might buy it will want a jack etc. too.
As most cars have 17" wheels is the Saver same for 18" wheels will be the question.
I would carry in the boot space, if I was to get a normal 18" wheel I would put that in the garage. I have always found punctures in a morning before setting off.

I did read somewhere that a 17" inch space saver would be compatible with an 18" wheel, as a temporary fix (as space savers are anyway).
Kits comprising a 2.5T jack, extendible wheel brace, sockets etc are available on Ebay for under £20.

How are you getting on with your new cars to those who have just purchased one? I'll bet like me you can't stop looking to see if it's on ev or hev
I personally am finding eco and regen 3 to be the best settings as we don't do much motorway driving.

Quite correct. Although in this weather, its not on EV all that much. I know that will change, as has been mentioned elsewhere on here. Certainly can`t tell when it switches from HEV to EV or back again, unless looking at the dash.
Just wondering what the difference between Eco and normal mode is, re mpg, and anything else for that matter.
Also using regen 3, which I try and do as much as poss, without being able to see what the charging status is, I can`t tell tell what difference there is in regening in the different modes. Or is there a way?

Have a question, I have a 23 zst and and looking to upgrade to the hybrid+ zs. Good thing in the zst is the lane keep assistance when turned off, stays turned off permanently as it’s unsettling feeling the car fight you and try to hug the lane, so I only drive without it on. Does the hybrid+ remember the lane keep assist setting when u turn off the car? Tx

Hi Hendon, yes it does remember. Go into settings, intelligent driver assist, there you can disable it if required and will stay off until you wish to put it back on again.

I picked up my sparkling new ZS Hybrid + Trophy yesterday. I had a blue light come on to say something about the headlights. Fantastic really! It was telling me to wipe them. I had travelled quite a way on some mucky roads and they had become covered in road muck. I was grateful for that message coming up. I wiped them and TA-DA the light went out. I'm loving the gear change stick. It feels great and so easy to use.

Hi Ann, you’re certainly having more luck with your new Trophy than I am with mine😳.

I think if it is going to interfere with the cameras etc it will say. It comes up in a little blue icon in the right hand top side in front of you. Xx
