How reliable is the software compared to a Tesla?

I wonder if SAIC venturing into more luxury, more expensive models with higher expectations of quality will force them to acquire far better software engineering skills, and that this might trickle down to a degree to the less expensive models that most of us can afford.

It could happen. Though if they haven't planned for this well in advance, there could be some angry and wealthy customers that trash the brand's image until SAIC get it together.

Maybe SAIC, being a huge manufacturer, already make luxury models, and just don't spend the same effort and money on software quality for the less expensive brands. In other words, the expertise doesn't necessarily transfer from one SAIC brand to others.
