Gang, what advice would you give regarding setting up accounts in prep for entering the charging network?
I will eventually get a 7 kw home charger installed but that will take a little time. I don't regularly do long distance but occasionally will do a 270 mile round trip from Preston to Leicester. Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome.

I would suggets checking Zap Map for your local chargers and sign up for those. Zap Map will also pot a route for you between Preston and Leicester and suggest chargers en route

Enjoy

Good advise.

Just to add for your longer trip. Make sure you reach the charger(s) with enough battery left to easily get to the next charger (and if that charger is a different organisation make sure you have the requisite app or RFID).

Play it safe as chargers can be unavailable for a number of reasons and an alternative plan pays.

We had exactly that happen to us recently. Got to an InstaVolt to find that both points were in use charging DPD vans. Luckily we had enough to get to the next charger ?
