All down to chips apparently..but when i ordered i asked about delays
And was told..theres no problem with an M.G..as china has built on the mg site a factory..just to make chips..and they can supply other makers as all manufacturers use the same chip..if this is the case
China can lead the way with the mg brand..and leave others behind in their wake.??

If the customer wants a particular colour or extra fitted then it's a few months on the waiting list, if they're happy to chose from whats on order already then they can get their car quicker.

I think it's just the current situation we're in. When I was in the trade, dealerships had overflowing compounds as manufacturers forced them to order certain numbers of cars to hit bonus and performance levels. Other garages were happy to offload them if you wanted a particular model and colour that they had locked up in an industrial estate somewhere.

I ordered a MG HS Exclusive in August 21 and as off yesterday the dealer Macklin Motor's did not know if the car had been manufactured never mind when delivery could be expected, I am totally frustrated that no firm date can be provided

Sept last year our HS exclusive PHEV was ordered and we are picking it up this week. Seems suspect that they cant even give you a delivery date although mine was changed from last December to 30th March and it arrived over a week early.
 
Last week my dealer said it's July. Today he said it's available tomorrow at 12. I don't think the dealers even know when they are coming.

Collected a white HS PHEV Exclusive yesterday only ordered 22nd Feb as seen on a Car Wow advert as being available and in stock. A number of dealers appear to have taken the initiative to order ahead and offered significant discount (£2.5k) for cash albeit I contacted a number of similar offers which had mysteriously disappeared and would only offer factory build with many months lead time. Maybe we were lucky but immediate delivery (relatively) is/was out there.
A question to those equally lucky people to have taken delivery :). I was not at all happy with the PDI, rear number plate lopsided, the polystyrene covers that fit beneath the boot floor had been left out as one of the battery terminals needed lining up to allow the cover to fit. No fuel in tank, managed to get 38.5litres into a 37litre tank at the next stop I know it’s a PHEV but really......
However the final insult and my question, is it true they are not allowed to clean under the bonnet ie, the valeters are not allowed near the engine bay? Our car was built August 21 and the black plastic trim under the bonnet was dirty rather like when you get rain from the Sahara. I was expecting the engine bay to be spotless, was I expecting too much for £33k!? I was told no car dealers clean the engine bay any more. Is this correct or am I having my leg lifted?
 
It doesnt sound right..the engine bay should be as clean as the rest of the car..and i will be looking and not signing for the car until it is.
Mine is through motability so maybe have more leverige.
Ordered in january told delivery is end of june..so looks like a 6 month waiting list all round.
I ordered an MG HS exite M
minus the fancy roof..not needed i.m.o.
Summer its aircon..winter its heating.. no nasty bugs n flies getting in mine.?

Salesman told us yesterday that if i was ordering the car that day it would have been an additional 3K, I could have made money yesterday on that car but the wife would have killed me:LOL:
 
I’ve Just been told by my dealer that the MG SE EV I ordered at the start of Feb 22 and was originally due to arrive May/June 22 that the delivery has now been delayed to between October and December. Has anyone else had this?
