No Drive

A strange thing happened this morning. I turned left into a road and tried to accelerate. There seemed to be no drive and the car coasted to a halt. Everything was working as normal and there were no warning lights. I switched it off and then back on again and the problem had cleared.

Any ideas?

Temporary failure of the main battery contactor?
Was all the dashboard display etc working?
I would take it back for investigation -there might be fault codes etc. You don't want that happening on a motorway or at night.

If there was a problem I'm sure it will have been logged.
Better to check it out now than wait for another failure.

The dashboard was working as normal. I could see the speedometer falling as I was pushing the accelerator.

im going to book the car in.

I wonder whether it is worth asking for a replacement main contactor? It could also be a software issue. I would suggest it is a bit serious and needs investigation.
