No smartphone for Ohme app

I have no smartphone but an app to control my Ohme charger is required. Only have a Windows 11 laptop so am stuck. Has anyone an answer for this problem other than to buy a smartphone due to the high cost of smartphones simply to control charging|? There is no smartphone reception in my area.

Yes but only on laptop and desktop computers. No mobile phone signals into the house hence reliance on landline. Cannot load Ohme app onto any windows11 device

Ohme have responded to advise that charging can be controlled on the front panel of the charger unit so that is good to know, but have bought a cheap tablet which should do the trick.

You could use a phone also and even make/receive calls without a signal using WiFi Calling.

The Ohme doesn't have WiFi or even a wired Ethernet port, the only way it can be controlled is via the cellular network or the front panel. This was an absolute no no for me so I didn't buy one.
( even with the cellular, you may have to pay a charge for the connection after a few years?)
