I've noticed my ZS is no longer doing a balance after it reaches 100%, it tapers off from 6.6kW draw to my background level of around 200W in about 5 minutes. I can initiate the balancing by pressing the door button after it finishes charging.
The battery is pretty well balanced AFAIK, being about 32mV out from max to min cell voltages last time I charged it.
My question is, will the car not bother with the balancing after reaching 100% if the battery is close to balanced anyway, not even for a short while and if that is so, why can I initiate the balance manually ?
Just curious.

It doesn't always do a balance following a 100% charge from what I've seen, mine only does it when it "thinks" it needs doing.
I just let it do its thing, but I know yours is a bit more out of balance than most. I think it must be BMS/EVCC old firmware related....

It's gone back to 42mV out after this last charge yesterday. I give up  , I'll be trading it in the the new LR ZS soon anyway. ;)

There’s got to be a cell that isn’t quite right.
I wonder if the warranty could be triggered if you could independently prove that a single cell is performing/storing less than 70% nominal capacity. Obviously that’s opening a whole can of Legal worms etc!!
Best off giving up and forgetting about it!

I will give it up and let it do it's thing from now on.
FWIW, the lowest cell (MU06) is consistently 4.191V, only 9mV low on the nominal 4.2V and the highest cell (MU04) fluctuates between 4.223V and 4.234V or 23mV to 34mV high. I think it could be the high one that's dodgy.
