The size of the plates doesn't matter. I had LAG4 on tiny plates. But neither of those plates have the manufacturers name and postcode along the bottom, which means they are show plates and subsequently illegal on the road.AFAIK, the size of the plate isn't mandated, the size of lettering and spacing is, so, either of those plates would be legal subject to letter size and spacing being correct.
