For those who have ordered already, what sort of delivery time-frame have you been given?

On the phone I was told August, and that they might be able to get it end of July. But the paperwork says September. ?‍

They're expecting the two dealership cars, one for the showroom and one for test drives, to be delivered next month. Looking forward to seeing it in the metal and taking it out for a spin at that point.

I've been told end of July/August. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was September, to align with the '74 registration plates. I keep hounding my dealer but they can't commit to any dates yet.

I was told 12-16 weeks after production starts, (which is June) for delivery to dealer. Mid to end of August is 12 weeks so I reckon late August into September.

However tempted I’d be, I’ll leave it until Sept 1st once it gets past the middle of August to get it on a 74 plate - which is even more crazy when I’ll be putting a private plate on it!

Dealer said the same about their 2 cars (showroom yellow and demonstrator in red) being delivered mid to late June, although I don’t think I’m going to go and look at it as the child in me wants the excitement of seeing it for the very first time on collection. And accept that it’s a very expensive mistake if I don’t like it ?

Checked in with the dealer this afternoon. Car is still showing as 'shortage', as is their demo car. Shortage apparently means the car hasn't been allocated yet. It could be built and on a ship and unallocated...

They reckoned it would be allocated around 5 weeks before delivery.

Placed the order as soon as the prices were announced. Willing to put money on it appearing from August 24th as that’s when I’ll be heading abroad for a summer holiday!

DON'T tell the dealer you're going away.
I tried that, back when I was buying a VW in 2016.
I was planning to hand my existing car in, and take public transport to the airport for my holiday, saving on airport parking.
The dealership decided to "expedite" my delivery, so I was handed my new car keys a mere 20 hours before my flight.
Do you have any idea how much "last-minute" airport parking costs? ?

Any updates from anyone anywhere. My dealer's gone quiet (have only been emailing rather than calling) but am desperate to have some confirmation as RHD production was meant to start in June if we were hoping for late Aug / early Sept delivery!

My dealer sales guy is away mid July to Early August. When test drives are meant to be conducted. Lol...He reckons he,ll make it up by organizing a test and event drive day. Not sure if that will be on the single motor for test drive. They're getting 2 cars by late July.

All deposits right now are subject to test drive. Then from the orders made they select premade cars I reckon. Just incase people change their mind on trims after the test drive. The finance info will be available then. Where theyll make the final decision on trims....in July. Thats how i reckon my dealer is doing it.

Hi, Today I received a call from MG Thailand. They wanted to confirm I was prepared to take delivery and wanted to confirm payment method. They informed me the Cybersters would arrive Thailand port "early July" and they would seek to proceed with delivery soon thereafter. I will be contacted once the cars are transported out of the port. I guess that might mean 2nd to 3rd week July? All models in Thailand (at the initial launch) are the dual motor version. I placed my order at the Bangkok Motorshow December 4, 2023. Red. I had heard from an MG rep that Thailand at one point had over 900 preorders. But I also heard they had some number of cancellations from long standing preorder holders. I had 2 separate test drives. Once in a large parking lot in conjunction with the recent Motorshow (March) and once last month (May) for a short street test drive. Both cars were red, one with a grey interior (just to show that color option as its on the yellow and grey cars) and the other in the standard black and red for the red cars. All top colors are black. Fingers crossed a month from now I'll be driving around Thailand in the new Cyberster!

Anyone got any updates as to delivery for first orders. Rumours are circulating that it’ll be October before they arrive in the UK, and my dealers silence is deafening. Which leaves me stuck for more time than I wanted as I’ve already sold my current (now ex) car!

Mine reckon September, but I'm not convinced they really know...
