Hi all,
I have a new MG3 Hybrid and am really pleased with it but have noticed that intermittently on starting the car, the outside temperature is just showing as a horizontal line.

It's intermittent though and is often resolved by stopping and starting the car, so strikes me as potentially software related, or possibly a dodgy connection to the sensor.

When it does this, the climate control also starts as completely off, but can be activated as normal.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I'd rather suspect the outdoor thermometer probe.

I don't know where it's located, but it's often under the driver's door mirror.

The MG3 temperature sensor is located behind the front grille, and unfortunately it's one of those components which requires the removal of the front bumper to access.

On first start in morning with the Climate Control in Auto the fan speed is virtually Off until the engine warms up a bit and supplies some warmth for the heater, then the fan speeds up to blow warm air into the cabin.
