And further more spuds vibrate in the pan when the water temperature starts to reach 100 just like the xpower
Ah but luckily I don’t have an x power which is a good thing in a way as I’ve certainly not got a big enough pan to boil it in.
 
So a little update......

I'm not at the end of this particular journey but have been in touch with the Cardigan branch of O C Davies to book my upcoming service and...... what a difference!

Dealing with a lovely lady via email during the booking in process, I happened to mention the reason I was coming to them.

She emailed back with genuine concern at my experience so far with the Carmarthen branch of their group.

So I decided to send some of my posts from this thread.

The response was immediate and apologetic, which was excellent.

I've recently got off the phone to their service manager of 17 years, who was also suitability shocked and disappointed by my experience thus far.

The MD of the company has also received said email.

We have a plan now going forward where I will be meeting with them and the master tech when I drop off my car for its first service.
I'm getting a loaner and leaving my car with them for a few days so I'm not messed about by having to go back and forth again.

They will have the rear camera in stock and be test driving for the vibes, although I have fully explained to him that they are now, for all intents and purposes, gone.

In just the phone call this morning I feel like I'm now getting the sort of care and attention that I should have received at the start.

I'm not looking for any 'bowing or scraping' just good old fashioned concern and customer care for someone who has invested a considerable sum of his own money into a product that they have sold me.

I was at pains to explain that I once had, in a previous life, been on their side of the fence, and fully understood how things worked. (Or should work!)

Hopefully the next update will be the conclusion of one of the issue's I've had with my car since new!
 
Amazes me how many short sighted dealerships there are out there. If you treat a customer well, not only will you get their repeat business, but also get free lead generation for potential new customers as they recommend your business to family and friends.

My father was a car salesman for Kennings for many years and he had a thick black book of all his clients, most of which would buy a new car from him every two or three years because he looked after them and sorted out any problems even after they had taken delivery.
