I have noticed several times now that if I am in heavy traffic on the motorway after a while both amber lights on both wing mirrors stay on and do not turn off when there are no cars in either side lane

They do go off when you stop and turn the car off and work as normal until heavy traffic again

Has anybody else had this issue on their ZS ?

Yes. I have found it only happen twice. As you said after heavy stop/start traffic & long journeys in hot weather.
One of those, turn orlff for 5 minutes, restart and back to normal operation.

(Zs EV 2022 Trophy long range)

Used to happen quite a lot during bad weather and heavy motorway traffic and only reset when the car was turned off and on. Not happened to me for quite a while now, don't know if updates at service may have been done to fix it.

Had the same thing happen on collection day !. We were driving home and my wife said :- “Is that amber light in the passenger door mirror, supposed to be ON all of the time?”.
When I checked the drivers mirror, it was the same.
Both permanent ON.
When we stopped and I locked the car, they both went out.
It has never done again ?.
Gen 2 ZS EV Trophy ? 22 model.

Hopully an update would cure that.

I was just thinking if it has an eSim in the car they could do it anytime they liked, assuming of course that they will want to at all.

I have exactly the same problem on my ZS. Its very irritating.

Any type of issue should be reported, and check car software version, are there any updates pending that a dealer can check. There is supposed to be an update this month.

Don't think so

Slight variation. all good on our previous ZS (mk1). Now on our MG5 FL, had a service s/w update (misbehaving radio). Since then these lights do not come on at all? Having considered, want vs need, happy to live without, but expect next service (s/w update) they'll return. I can happily live without.

Yes its often happened to us too - I think 'IT' decides we're in busy traffic and just locks on !
