This is my first post. So, if I am in the wrong section, please redirect me.

I have recently acquired an MG ZS EV Essence (2022) in Australia. This is the equivalent of the Trophy in the UK. Everything works fine. I only have an issue with the headlights. When they are on Auto, they come on when it gets dark and go off when it is bright outside. Fine. I had that in my previous car and I loved it. But this one also has an auto-high-beam function which automatically sets the headlights on high-beam if the outside is pitch dark and there is no on-coming traffic. If there is oncoming traffic or there are a few streetlights around, it goes to low-beam by itself. This is the function I want to disable. I am OK if the headlights come on and go off automatically, but this auto-high-beam function is very irritating both for myself and the on-coming traffic.

Is there a way I can disable ONLY this (auto-high-beam) function without disabling the auto-on/off function?

The user manual says that if I turn the knob at the end of the lighting stick clockwise, it should do the job. I do that. It completely disables the auto headlights i.e. the headlights simply go off. There is also nothing in the vehicle settings.

Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

I switched off auto high beam I believe it was in-car settings on entertainment screen

Yes it's done in the infotainment screen. I think in car / lighting there is an on off switch for this. It is definitely there somewhere in the infotainment selections if not exactly where I said. I turned it on. It got on my nerves ( by occasionally dazzling other drivers when it shouldn't) so I turned it off again. I am fine manually turning full high beam on and off when required.

Mine was flashing on and off as though I was signalling to oncoming drivers so I turned them off auto after first try. As mentioned, it's in the infotainment screen, just swipe left to get to the settings options.
