Just a small thing. But has anyone else noticed the petrol icon is on the wrong side?

Normally the handle of the pump is on the side of the car where the filler cap is. In this case it’s not.
You are mistaken. The handle of the pump is always on the right side. Typically, there is an additional arrow indicating the side where the petrol cap is located. In MG vehicles, there is no such arrow, but the handle placement is correct.

Yes I agree, there is normally an arrow (triangle) pointing to the fill side of the vehicle, but strangely ommited from MG.

Maybe the idea behind that was that the icon is positioned on the left side of the screen to indicate the location of the petrol cap, which is also located on the left side of the car. So no triangle is needed.

if you look on the complete left side of the speedometer display, underneath the speed there is the actual fuel guage which should have the triangle there, the one you have shown in the post is just the digital estimation of remaining range, rather than whats left in the tank

MGDriver is correct, if you look carefully there are two fuel pump icons on the screen, and the smallest, which is right in the bottom left hand corner of the dash, DOES have the triangular arrow, pointing to the left (the fill side), just as would be expected in any vehicle.

Hi. Excellent observation, MG Driver. I must admit I hadn’t noticed the pump icon.
I got around it by buying a transparent parking ticket holder, very useful, surprised the ZS doesn’t have one.
I installed it on the right hand side of the windscreen, and drew an “L” on it, as a reminder.

The triangular arrow is on the left of the pump icon, in the far left bottom of the screen, as previously mentioned.

There are two icons.

Assuming this is for the ZS hybrid 2025 model.

Yes 100%, typically on the handle to the pump is on the side of the filler cap. But Chinese cars 95% plus are sold in countries where they drive on the right, not the right side is the left side. !
We get what we pay for!

Last time I bought petrol for my own car was in 1987 / 88 for our Mimi Clubman estate and I can’t remember if it showed that it filled on the nearside.
I then went on to diesel and filled its tank again on the nearside as indicated and bought a final litre of either smelly fluid in September 2021.
I did buy copious amounts of gas in California to keep my son’s RAM monster pick up truck mobile to keep me and my Granddaughter mobile to visit zoos and museums.
