Hi all,

Anyone else got these in their car instead of alloys? ATS came out yesterday to put new tyres on the front and couldn’t get the trims off so we’re about to refuse the jobs when I said that I would remove them. Ended up having to use a pry bar and half of the clips broke off each trim. What a nightmare to remove!

Are these a different design to the ones on the MG4, I've taken a couple off and put them back on and they were quite easy if you pull them through the holes round the edge of the trim.

Must be - these have 5 clips on the back which fit between the spokes on the alloy. Real bugger to get off - like I said, the tyre fitter from ATS was going to reject the job as he couldn’t shift them.

What model? I think I have them on my 24 plate MG5 SE as I realised there are no visible holes for the wheel nuts

Hi Dino, same model as mine - if you can get your hands behind the wheel you could pinch the clips together which would make it easy to remove but there’s the brakes in the way. I have refitted the trims with the broken clips and they fit well and seem secure for now. I tried for ages trying to pull them with my fingers in the slotted bit but it’s quite sharp and hurts the old digits so ended up using a pry bar🤷‍♂️
