Quick Question for a Quick Answer - MG4 Trophy Extended Range

Hi All,

Can someone let me know the real world range of this car travelling on the motorway please? Say at 65mph in winter. MG website estimates 239 miles. Many thanks ?

There are too many variables to be able to give an accurate answer - weather conditions being one of them. I'd suggest working on the basis of half to 2/3 of the WLTP range as an estimation. (e.g. in my SE SR with the 51kWh LFP battery I got a worst of 120 miles last winter; more typically 140-150 miles, with a WLTP of 218 miles).

With or without AC?
With or without the heater on?
Flat roads or hills?
Windy day or calm?

These things will make a significant differences.

My Trophy LR with AC / heating in winter will reliably do 180-190 miles. So I am thinking the ER will do 215-240 miles.

I'm going to say 200 miles (2.7 mi/kWh) minimum with 225 being more typical when it's cold (3 mi/kWh).

Thanks all for the replies, the video (and others on that channel) were useful. Looking at changing the gen1 ZS as I have a 200 mile commute coming up. All options considered, including ICE! ?
