Radio issue

Hello! I’m new to the group and let me tell my problem?
I am a owner of MG5 EV 2021 and how you know already they have comum problem with radio module.
My car was few times for repairs at the main deler and the only repair was adding new “soft” until the car was out of warranty.
I call MG uk and no luck.
There is anyone ho know a electrician to fix my issue.

Does your radio go off now and again with a double image too?
I find mine shows various different issues including resetting with the MG logo but most of the time the radio still works when the screen goes off.
What software update are you on?

My one doesn’t work anymore. He’s trying to start but nothing. I don’t know what software got now because the screen is off all the time only when going back start the camera.

Try disconnecting the 12volt battery (under the bonnet - the normal auto battery, disconnect the +ve terminal) count slowly to 20, and reconnect it.
This resets quite a lot of things including the HV battery control when a duff charger doesn't finish correctly and kills the car (has happened to me once)

Hey! I finished to change my radio and I have the same issue. At some point the screen goes off and back on. It’s lucks like overheating?

How did you get on with this in the end? I have the same, my unit has gone to Longbridge. It was constantly trying to reboot. I've seen a secondhand unit for sale, it may be quicker and easier to buy this! (But maybe it will suffer same issues)!

Mine is still doing it as MG won't replace it.
Booked in again after I kept sending pictures of it locked up or initializing.

They really are hopeless at fixing things! We have to go through all these processes which we and even the dealer knows won't work. There is also a cost to all these trips to dealers. Don't know why they can't just replace straightaway. I love the MG5 but I will never have another MG due to the extremely poor support from MGUK. It's not just this issue, I had a central locking problem when I first got the car, they were useless with that too! Dealer does their best but their hands are tied according to what MG says.
