Satnav update

Hi can anyone tell me if a special memory card or usb stick is required to update by naviextras?? I have put a usb into infotainment slot and it says its ready to use but then it won't connect to naviextras "toolbox" mg customer care are next to clueless on this one as they say you would have to take the system out to see any sort of model number..appreciate any help..

according to the instructions at least 8Gb and formatted with Fat32

When I had a Ford it was very fussy on make used and following of instructions had to be exact, was a nightmare.

MG3 HYBRID not listed on Naviextras.
Only Pre hybrid MG3 (2023) listed, so maybe that’s why it doesn’t work. Also may cause damage if incorrect

Thanks..does all the software from the car onto the usb and then tells you to use naviextras so no idea what's happening..wish they would just be more forthcoming with info it's like it's a big secret..
