Service Action Bulletin

Bit unsertan why you'd be annoyed over this?
It states that every car that's in for whatever reason, is supposed to get this update done, if it's produced before the mentioned date. That's a good thing, isn't it?

Thanks for this. I've taken a copy and will ensure I discuss it with my dealer when booking the car in for its annual service to make sure it gets done!

Can I also ask, why are you annoyed by this?

I’m pretty annoyed by the fact they don’t know the difference between affect and effect. They even use the phrase ‘effected cars’ twice in the user manual.

It just gives the impression that it’s been written by school kids who didn’t pay attention in class. Which gives me no confidence. I’ve always used grammar as a litmus test.

I can see why this could be problematic. It is related to battery main fuse dying for no reason and needs this software update to fix. Yet, MG have deemed this not an immediate recall situation for existing owners but something that could be done the next time a car is in the workshop... Isn't this potentially dangerous?

Is there a website we can check the VIN numbers to see if our cars are Affected ?
I got mine Mid July so it could be.

I guess MG are working to the old adage, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" ;)
