Hi.

Just got my MG ZS EV 2023 Long Range car and I get 4 error messages that come one after the other and that are still there even though I restarted the car and it doesn't go away. Sometimes they go away for a while but then come back again.

• Forward Collision System Unavailbale
• Auto Emergency Braking System Unavailable
• Pedestrian Auto Emergency Braking Unavailable
• ACC System Unavailable

Anyone know whats wrong ?

Thx

KR

If the car is still fresh from the dealer, take it back and ask them to fix it.
There are some threads about these, search the forum; from memory, 2 things you could start with - check front camera (not the outside one, the one behind the rear view mirror) is clean and no mist. The other thing to try is disconnecting 12V battery negative for a few minutes, that's a reset like restarting your computer ...

The car may have spent a lot of time in a showroom or warehouse not being driven. Some MGs don't seem to be good at automatically charging the 12V battery from the main battery. So it might be a good idea to charge the 12V battery overnight with an ordinarily 12V car battery charger.

If that's the only issue, you might be able to clear the fault codes with an OBD scanner app, or the dealer could do it.

It's really poor that dealers aren't aware of this and look after the 12V battery in pre-delivery checks.

Of course, the problem could be something else, but 12V battery problems are common with EVs.

I recently had the same issue, my dealer traced the problem to a loose connection in the wiring harness to the front radar. When my problem started its was intermittent but soon stopped working altogether. At the time we also noticed the passenger airbag light flickering.

I'd say nothing wrong at all. All those systems are a frustrating pita, so having them deactivated is a blessing in disguise!

Car is not started properly. Ensure you have pressure on the brake when starting, and that it shows 'Ready' after starting. If the warnings appear, you can either press the brake and press start again, or power off and restart with FIRM pressure on the brake. It is a computer error if start up is not done correctly. No good taking it to the dealer, they don't know these issues, and will just advise software update, which does not make a difference.
