It does indeed, 250 to 270 would be my estimate but having had EV's for the last 7 years I always ensure to leave plenty in reserve wherever possible. I tend to bank on 200 miles between stops to ensure I can always skip to the next one if its broken - this also means I can sit comfortably in the 20 - 80% fast charging zone.
 
I seldom drive more than 60 miles from home in a day, so the round trip is very do-able. I did do a 75 mile trip a couple of weeks ago, so a 150 mile round trip, and the car did it easily. (I did charge in a car park on the way because I was going to be parked there anyway, but when I got back it was obvious I could easily have managed without that.)

When I go further it's usually because I'm going to be staying away overnight and I'm not in any great hurry, so I don't mind having to make rather more stops than with the LR battery. It's a different way of travelling and I'm getting to like it.

I know what you mean, I think one of the nicest things to come from driving EV's is to appreciate having to stop more often on long journeys, having a nice cup of coffee while charging and most importantly losing the 'must press on and get there as soon as possible' mentality.

A few mods so far, had to remove the wheel covers - they look 'okay' when clean but they start to stand out as plastic trims when they get dirty in my opinion. Added wheel centres from an MG3. Also had to add some led ambient lighting as the interior can be a bit plain without them. Added a black front badge to clean up the front end appearance and finally.......for now....... replaced the interior lights with led versions. Oh and I have given it a full machine polish and a ceramic coating (see the last picture below) as the paint work was terrible on delivery..... many many many swirl marks!

When I worked in Sussex I often set off up the M1/M6/M74 on a Friday evening after work and made it home to central Scotland around midnight. I stopped once for just as long as it took to fill the tank of my XR2 or Peugeot 306. 430 miles. I was focussed. (Somebody should probably have stopped me.)

Since I changed jobs so I was living where I wanted to be I've calmed down a lot, and the Golf GTi I had for the past 14 years never got to do that trip. Now I'm retired, what the hell? Where's the hurry?

When I went to visit a friend in Yorkshire earlier this month I noticed quite a difference though. I last did the trip last year, in October and again in December, in the GTi. I did the usual thing, point the nose of the car, put my foot down, stop only as long as I had to to get petrol, and feel superior about how fast I'd got there. This time I planned out charging stops, looking forward to the break each leg, and I even made an extra charging stop just because I could, and to arrive at a good SoC.

There's also a camaraderie around the charging points you don't get at a petrol pump, and the chance to have a coffee and a scone or something rather than grabbing a bag of crisps or a bar of chocolate and running isn't to be sneezed at.

Hi, yep - this is the set I bought:

Led ambient lights

It was pretty straight forward to fit as I decided to go with one on the dash and then 1 above each of the four doors. I powered it by tapping into the rear of the 12v accessory socket in the centre console.

They do a cool animation when you power on the car (when you sit in the drivers seat and again when you first put it in drive) and then revert to whatever colour and brightness you set them to. There is an app for your phone to control them.

I have made a quick video to show what they do - Hope this helps:

Gave the car a full valet and finished with ceramic paint sealant. Had the car now just over 2 months and loving it.

Now got into the mode of turning on Eco drive mode and LKA off start of every trip, and have no complaints.
 
Had it nearly a week and I'm still blown away by the EV Performance. I tested out a Tesla Supercharger the other night and I'm even more impressed (Purchase the membership so I'm now paying 34p Per KWH to charge)

Couldn't recommend the car enough and so glad I chose the MG4 over the Kia Niro.

Nice White .. What's your thoughts on a Black Front MG Badge .. Personally I think It would help finish the look
 
How much is the membership? How much is the non-member kWh rate? How much will you likely use the Supercharger network?

(There's a tipping point where the membership becomes of value). :)
