Slamming On (Again)

Mrs S has been gadding about while I've been holed up in the hospital.

Heartless bugger.

She even went out to one of our regular scofferies without me.

Anyhow, she had another slam-on scare where His Lordship jammed on the anchors as he thought she was going to crash into some parked cars she was preparing to overtake.

So, here's my thing......

In the same way as indicating when changing lanes doesn't initiate the "Lane Keep" function that pulls you back into the lane, I wonder if a quick "indicate flick" would stop the car panic-braking when pulling out to pass parked cars?
Basic driving rules apply - indicate when pulling out to pass anything, parked or not!
And if anyone says “but you only have to indicate your intention to other road users”, well how can you be sure someone isn’t about to step out or open a door as you pass?

I had it once, when new. I haven't had it since I realised it was because I was going too fast for the situation.

Yes Robgarth. I have the MG3 Hybrid. It goes like the stink. All the time. "Your going over the speed limit." I've had it 6 months and had to curb my speed.
