small steering wheel

Christian can you please enlarge in this subject.
Not sure what it signifies etc. Thanks
On your actual steering wheel you'll see a button with picture of a steering wheel on it, press this button whilst you are driving and the steering wheel on the digital display will turn blue along with the number above it. Whatever speed you are traveling at when you press the button will set the cruise control to that speed and you can drive the car with no steering or acceleration input from yourself. If you are following another vehicle the car will also brake automatically if the car in front of you brakes, basically the car drives itself and stays in lane. It's an interesting sensation but if you take your hands off of the steering wheel you get a reminder to replace your hands on the digital display.

You still need to steer 😀

I have not until now followed previous instructions how to set the Cruise control, will give it ago.
Regarding the following the car in front. The feature of seeing on the display is bothering me sometimes it works and other times the white car does not move from the south west facing direction but then at some point it comes alive and faces forward showing car in front ang those i'm passing.

Another factor to consider, is that the cruise control system will manage vehicle separation. For example, if someone passes you and returns to your lane without allowing a resonable separation, and slows down, the cruise system will slow you down to return the separation distance to the distance necessary for safety. This particular feature can be very annoying, as numerous cars may then pass you as your car slows to maintain separation, causing you to slow further. Of course many new cars contain this feature, and they all start managing separation, and the whole traffic stream slows down. Its nuts in certain situations. Climbing a hill on a fast road is a good example of the cascade being set off. I tend to turn Cruise control off on crowded motorways to avoid having the system slow me down. On uncrowded motorways it works fine and I use it.

It's always interesting to read here about what people are asking and how everyone likes/dislikes certain features of their MG3. Before getting mine, I had time on my hands and read the manual a couple of times. It's amazing the detail it goes in to, the answers it has, and just how many options there are for customising your ride. It is a bit annoying having to reset everything at the start of every drive, and there is no "Save my settings as Default" option. However, my little routine on getting into the car is now second nature and no real hassle at all. These cars are awesome!
