Software version (where to find)

You can find the module versions from the engineering mode which I’ve done.
Also when I called dealer with chassis number they were able to determine updates were pending, which I then had applied.
Ok, that's interesting, it contradicts what I have been previously told but maybe they've improved the system. Was aware of the engineering menu but that's not for the average owner.

There is a sub menu to the Entertainment System version, it is supposed to be an engineers menu so be vary wary of what you touch if you do decide to view it.

This has been posted elsewhere on the forum but if you want to access the sub menu and sub component SW versions

Tap 5 times on the Entertainment System Version
In the pop up PIN window enter 200519

You will now have access to the sub menu

Again, I would be wary of what you select in this menu as you might have the option to brick the car, knowing MG software.
I never find them here. Can you tell where please ? The only screen I managed to display is this

That's showing the version numbers for various systems - I think that's as much as you can see.

It's another update (not Infotainment) that impacts ACC ... possibly SCUK001.
That's what's so crazy with MG, a useful feature improvement, but no customer is gonna know about it. MG need to open up to dealers about what are in updates. I got that improvement with updates to about 7 modules, only when I got the software updated at Richmond, Bognor, who were very helpful, unlike Baylis, where I bought the car, and fobbed me off about updates, despite 3 requests!

I can't remember the exact menu, but the version numbers are definitely there in the settings. You'll see people talking about different software versions on the forum (R33, R59 etc) These can be found in the settings.
The version numbers here are only for the infotainment system. Not anything else.

Just booked my first year check. Dealer said it would be tyres, lights & safety. When asked about computer update he said they were not authorised to do them.

Are they an approved MG dealer?
Apart from a couple of updates relating to service campaigns MG won't pay the dealer for doing software updates unless the customer complains that there is a fault.
