Solving the Suburb border alert when navigating?

Does anyone have a solution to stop the suburb, region border alert chime?
Or at least a way to change its volume?
It is a rather pointless alert that is distracting.

Seems to be an AUS/NZ issue as far as I can tell - I don't get anything like this here in the UK. (And if you really have an SE LR as per your profile, how does it have satnav to be able to tell where the boundaries are?).

Apparently it may only affect MG4 with Navigation in Australia

So far the solution seems to be, use Android auto and google maps or Waze, Apple maps.

Same thing in New Zealand unfortunately, and so far have not found a workaround other than not to use the built-in satnav...

Joined this forum just to complain about this 'feature' too.
Very surprised it can't be turned off.

Visit your dealer but unless you have a fault with the software they my charge you.

Thanks for this info, I've set this to off and will report the results. I really can't see the point of the car bonging for every suburb border - it's as pointless as my car alerting me to straighten up my steering while reversing, when doing so would send me into a hedge

I drive along there frequently whenever I'm in Scotland and have never had any bongs. Last time I was there was a couple of weeks ago. I'll double check next time I'm up after Easter.

Glasgow has an LEZ but I get no alerts when traversing it. Mind you, I don't think the SE spec has this feature anyway.
