Speed limit on the dash

On Wednesday evening I drove about one mile to a farm to pick up some trays of eggs, coming back I happened to notice the dash speed limit was showing 100, now neither of us has been into it to mess with that, it was turned on at the dealers so I can only assume it has an auto change from miles to km in the software, but were in West Yorkshire so don't understand how that can happen, yesterday the boss had it all day and noticed that although she was in a 30 limit the dash kept going to 40, 30, & 20 I can't see how this system works? & what real use it is if it is unreliable.

I doubt it would change units without the user changing a setting (unless it's a serious bug or glitch). Usually on any speedometer the units are there, in small font, e.g. M.P.H. or km/h:

It's been fine for me today all in mph (real money) not that diluted stuff you have

the distance to reserve is up and down like a lady of the nights drawers though, set off it was 323mi, got home after 15mi and it was down to 304mi in Eco both ways gentle driving.

No voice of Google maps or the on board navigation now, Radio played fine, so no idea what they did at MG, these kids move so fast on the screen.
