Hello, I live in Iceland, my MG ZS has a broken spring in the back. The dealer included the warranty, but I have been waiting for a new spring for 6 months and it is not known when it will be available. The dealer didn't give me a replacement car and said it wasn't his problem. Does anyone know what I can do?

Complain to MG Europe. It's impossible that the part takes 6 months to arrive and this is down to your local dealer to chase

I needed both rear springs replaced at my last 2 year service for the MGZS Trophy. It was at my expense. It was all done within 2 days. Sadly, rural Devon roads are full of pot holes.

The 2 springs were £45 each plus labour. I'm not sure of the exact labour costs as it was £157 total for the service, labour to replace a ball joint and labour for replacing the 2 springs.

Drive MG Weston super Mare quoted £250 on the service sheet before I pointed out it was an oustanding warranty repair from 12 months ago.

I had a broken spring within 12 months on mine. Same pothole cause. Dealer fixed it under warranty. Said it shouldn’t have broken so soon.

I had the same problem. Said to the dealer that it would be an MOT failure and therefore not safe to drive. Was quoted six weeks delivery for new part. No offer of hire car. Said that I would reject car for full refund. Guess what? Hire car provided. ( Don’t know about MOTs or sales of good acts in Iceland).
