Hi all,

I'm new here, having just bought a ZS Trophy Connect Long Range. Bit of an impulse buy (that's me all over) as I hired a car for our week's holiday which happened to be a ZS Exclusive 1.5 petrol which I surprisingly love (and so does the other half) other than the dire engine. Whilst away I managed to test drive a SR ZS EV and loved it, a day later and I've pulled the trigger on a nearly new LR. Got a great deal I think, 2 months old with a handful of miles on it having been used by the sales manager, and £8k off list price. I get it next Tuesday and can't wait! First EV so a tad apprehensive but it should suit my driving.

Anyway, my question is, for those that have driven both, is the reduction in power of the LR compared to the SR very noticeable?

Driving an EV is all about the instant torque rather than max power and SR & LR both have the same at 207 lb/ft. LR has a bit more weight and is listed as 22 less bhp but somehow the official acceleration figure is 0.2 sec quicker to 60. In reality you are unlikely to notice any difference without getting the timing gear out. Traction limits acceleration as much as anything.
